- saying “see ya later” instead of "goodbye"
AU REVOIR
I made a Hat from paper
I glued some glitter on it
I glued some curly noodles
With tape to make them stay
But I let David wear it
He left it on the chair
Where Marsha sat down on it
Now it doesn’t look the same.
Goodbye Hat, it’s time to go
It’s sad to say Goodbye I know
Goodbye Hat, I love you
But now I’ve got some other things to do
My Mom, she gets me dressed
She gets me stuff to eat
She takes me to the place
Where I stay all day
She has to go to work
I know she’s sad to leave me
Because we love each other
And she’d rather stay and play
Goodbye Mom, it’s time to go
It’s sad to say Goodbye I know
Goodby Mom, I love you
But now I’ve got some other things to do
When something new begins
There’s a middle, and an end
It’s sad when it ends
But that’s the way things are
With hats or with Moms
With ice cream or with friends
So I don’t say Goodbye
I say “Au Revoir”
Au Revoir, it’s time to go
It’s sad to say Goodbye I know
Au Revoir Mom, I love you
But now we’ve got some other things to do
Wave Goodbye Mom, I love you
’Cause now I’ve got some other things to do.
